Fills, strokes and text
The panel on the right edits whatever is selected: position, fills, strokes, effects, text and export.
1Position and appearance
Set X, Y, width, height, rotation and opacity as numbers. Flip with Shift+H and Shift+V. Corner radius takes one value, or four with Edit corners independently.
Blend modes apply to whole layers and to single fills. A layer can act as a mask with the Alpha or Vector mask type.
2Fills
A layer can stack several fills. Each fill's menu changes its type, blend mode and order, or removes it.
| Type | Notes |
|---|---|
| Solid | HSV picker, hue strip and hex field. |
| Linear, Radial, Angular | Gradient stops you drag on the canvas. |
| Mesh | A grid of 2 to 5 rows and columns of colour points. |
| Image | Fill, Fit, Crop (drag to reframe), Tile with a scale, or Stretch. |
| Shader | Noise, Fade, Glow, or your own SkSL code with sliders for its uniforms. |
Image fills have exposure, contrast, saturation, temperature, tint, highlights and shadows. Match image ratio resizes the layer to the picture; Relink image swaps the file. Paths can use the Nonzero or Even-odd fill rule.
3Strokes
Strokes have a colour, a width (or a width per side), a position (Inside, Center or Outside), a cap (None, Round, Square), a join (Miter, Round, Bevel) and a dash style (Solid, Dashed, Dotted).
4Effects
Add a drop shadow, an inner shadow, a layer blur, a background blur or a shader effect. Several effects can stack on one layer.
5Text
- The font picker lists bundled fonts, fonts installed on your system and fonts you imported (
.ttfor.otf). - Weights run from Thin to Black. Set line height, letter spacing, horizontal alignment (including justify) and vertical alignment.
- A text box either grows with its text or wraps at a fixed width.
If a document uses a font you do not have, the app offers to download it from Google Fonts or to pick a font file. Settings, Fonts manages the fonts you imported.
