Command line
The de command talks to the running editor. Everything an agent can do over MCP, you can do from a terminal or a script.
1Run the editor
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
de start [--file F] | Open the editor with its MCP server. |
de start --web [--host H] | Serve the editor to a browser. |
de start --headless | Run the MCP server with no window. |
de stop / de status | Stop it, or show whether it is running. |
de finds the running editor by itself. Use --port to point it elsewhere, --file and --page to pick a document and page, and --pretty for readable output.
2Export

de export --selection --output hero.png --scale 2
de export-frames --output-dir out --format webp
