Version history with git
Designs are text files, so they live in git like code. The Git panel does it without a terminal.
1Set up a repository
Open the Git panel from the File menu or the View menu. Start a new repository, open an existing one, or clone a public one from its URL. Git is built into the app, so you do not need it installed.
2Save milestones
Track a .de file, set your name and email once, then use Save milestone to commit. History lists each commit with what changed: frames changed and layers added, removed or edited. Restore any version, copy its hash, or promote a commit to a milestone.
3Branches and remotes
Create, merge and delete branches. Pull and push to a remote; the remote settings take a URL and SSH keys.
4Merging designs
Merges compare designs layer by layer, not line by line, so two people changing different layers merge cleanly. When both changed the same layer, the panel shows Mine, Theirs and Base side by side. Keep one, keep all of one side, or edit the JSON by hand, then apply or abort the merge.
